Free training for family carers of young people with autism

Tuesday 17th and Tuesday 24th January 2017, 12pm – 2.30pm at The Circle Dundee.

Positive Pathways Scotland is for parents and carers of children and young people (aged between 5 and 18 years old) with an autism diagnosis.

Their training programme offers:

  • 2 free training sessions with a focus on understanding emotional and behavioural challenges in children and young people with autism.
  • An opportunity to apply for a small number of 1 to 1 sessions with a behavioural therapist and follow up consultation phone calls throughout the year.
  • A range of e-learning resources and tools including videos, scheduled online chats and other useful resources.

Topics of the videos that will be made available include:

  • Autism Awareness
  • Sensory Difference
  • Reactive Approaches
  • Social Stories & Social Scripts
