The existing Wednesday or Thursday 8 – 12 year old group and Thursday 12 – 15 year old group have now changed into these new opportunities.

We have moved to focussed groups for the following reasons:

  • Maximise the opportunities for young people to try new activities
  • Increase the learning opportunities for young people, including accreditation
  • Help young people get involved in what’s going on in their local community
  • Maximise our partnerships with other organisations
  • Build young people’s skills and confidence

Young people are matched with the appropriate opportunity based on their interests and needs – your youth worker will be in touch to discuss the opportunities available, including dates and times

The types of opportunities that are now available are:

  • Cooking groups and activities
  • Physical Activity Groups
  • Personal Development opportunities
  • Employability & Life Skills
  • Get involved in our Young Fundraisers Group
  • Have your say in our Getting it Right for Young Carers Group
  • Groups will be delivered in the centre or other venues in Dundee

We also have the following accreditation opportunities:

  • Dynamic Youth Award
  • Youth Achievement Award
  • REHIS Elementary Cooking Skills

We are also looking for volunteers, and ways you can be involved:

  • Volunteering (minibus driving/minibus escort/group volunteer are just some of the opportunities available) – training and support is provided for all of our volunteers
  • Fundraising – join the centre fundraising group or organise your own event (if you let us know we can link it to the Just Giving Page)
  • Carer Ambassador – help us raise awareness of the centre and our activities in local communities
  • Parent/Guardian Group – have fun, learn and share your skills/knowledge with other parents of young carers

If you have any questions or would like to talk about these new opportunities please get in touch:
